CEO Michael Bayley thrilled with the response. Average Cost $136.00 per person
During an earnings call Royal Caribbean Boss Michael Bayley announced that their 274 day world cruise was 70% sold out after offering the cruise to loyalty members.
Bayley also said the average balcony cabin cost was $75,000.00.
That price point at $136.00 per day would put the 9 month cruise in the assisted living category and could help Royal set a record for medical evacuations and prune consumption during a cruise.
Bayley also said all the deposits were non-refundable and "The fact that within a week we were 70 percent booked on a ship that carries around 2,100 guests and is on a nine month world cruise was just remarkable and I think that's indicative of what we're seeing."
