Port of Seattle Gearing Up for a Busy Season

The number of cruise ships call will go from 82 in 2021 to 296.

The Port of Seattle has released its preliminary cruise schedule. )n paper, it plans to be a banner year with the port anticipating 296 cruise ship calls, bringing an estimated 1.26m revenue passengers.


Fourteen of the ships calling on Seatle will be homeporting from there. That is an increase of three from previous years.


Stephanie Jones Stebbins, managing director of maritime at the Port of Seattle said in a statement, "Our vision is for a thriving Seattle Alaska cruise industry, one that leads the world in terms of environmental standards, inspiring other ports to meet the same high standards, and delivers job and business opportunities where they are needed most."


There was no comment about Canada's decision to deny entry to unvaccinated cruise ship guests.
