NCL Holdings Del Rio Says Vaccine Mandate Staying Indefinitely

"The mandate continues to benefit our three brands. It's something we want to build on."

Yesterday during an earnings call with investors, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings CEO Frank Del Rio made it clear that his company's vaccine mandate was not going away soon.

Del Rio said." "We're going to announce very soon that we have indefinitely extended our 100 percent vaccination requirement," Del Rio said. "I think that continues to benefit our three brands. It's something we want to build on."

NCL holdings put this mandate across all brands, including the Norwegian, Oceania, and Regent Sevens Seas cruise line.

Requiring all guests to be vaccinated did prevent children from sailing on their family brand Norwegian Cruise Line. Norwegian Cruise Line President Harry Sommer has said that although this decision would affect sales, the safety of all guests was more important. This decision went against a recent law in Florida that prevented businesses from inquiring about customers' vaccinations status.

The state of Florida is currently appealing that current injunction.
