Hapless CDC Continues to Scare Cruisers Without Data

Despite below average positivity rates compared to states, the CDC continues its attack on the cruise industry.

The CDC, constantly under fire and continually criticized for its double talk and lack of actual science, has decided to leave in place the Level Four warning for the cruise industry.

Their latest statement which failed to address the incredibly low positivity rates on ships compared to land, read, "The virus that causes Covid-19 spreads easily between people in close quarters onboard ships, and the chance of you getting Covid-19 on cruise ships is very high, even if you are up to date with your Covid-19 vaccines."

Sadly, the statement fails to offer any proof that it spreads more easily on a ship than on land. The gap between positivity rates on ships compared to land is extremely wide with all states in double digits and the cruise industry below 2%.

CLIA spokeswoman Laziza Lambert said discouraging vaccinated people from cruising is "inexplicable and it is "dismayed" by the CDC's decision not to budge off the Level 4 designation."
