Before its opening on February 11th, General manager Mike Lerman of the AC Hotel in Sunnyvale Moffett Park struggled with the same problem managers everywhere were. He did not have enough employees to handle everything. His temporary solution was to lease an Aethon robot.

Lerman told Travel Weekly, "We can't let the delivery people roam the hotel, so either we run it up, or we call the guest to come to get it, but that all takes some time from staff."

He told TW, "This is not about replacing staff members," he said. "It's about being more efficient with our labor resources and keeping people in their posts and guest-facing." He also said he has sped up his hiring process and increased referral bonuses.
