Two Bosses at Genting Hong Kong Leave and Make Room for the JPL's

The Court in Bermuda has assigned (Joint Provisional Liquidators) to "manage the business of company affairs."

The saga continues to unfold at Genting Hong. One week ago, they put their shipyards in Germany under bankruptcy protection, and days after that, they petitioned a court in Bermuda to fold up the Company. Following that, Crystal Cruises suspended operations, and Dream Cruises and Star Cruises shut down their booking sites. Now the exodus has begun at the parent company has started.


  • Travel Weekly is reporting that the following executives at Genting Hong have resigned. Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay has resigned as Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, and Executive Director of the Company, and accordingly, he also ceased to be members of the remuneration committee and the nomination committee of the Company, all with effect on January 21, 2022; an

  • Au Fook Yew (Colin Au) has resigned as Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Group President, and Executive Director of the Company, all with effect on January 21, 2022.

Both said they have no ongoing disagreements with the board.
