Three Caribbean Destinations Make It Easier to Get In!

Barbados, Trinidad, Tobago and U.S. Virgin Island have reduced the paperwork and testing requirements.

Three popular destinations in the Caribbean have made it slightly easier to visit by reducing the amount of necessary pre- travel paperwork.

Barbados has eliminated the three-day quarantine period for unvaccinated visitors who test negative at the airport upon arrival. Travelers who test positive must quarantine until a negative result is obtained. In addition, all unvaccinated travelers must produce a negative PCR or antigen test done within three days prior to arrival in Barbados. The island had previously dropped the pre-entry Covid test for vaccinated travelers.

Trinidad and Tobago officials have decided to discontinue the requirement to obtain the TTravel Pass to gain entry for all travelers. Unvaccinated visitors must provide a negative PCR or antigen test taken within 48 hours prior to arrival. Vaccinated visitors must show proof of vaccination. However, the mask-wearing mandate remains in effect as only slightly more than 50% of the population has been vaccinated.

Travelers to the U.S. Virgin Islands no longer have to complete a form at the USVI Travel Screening Portal. Vaccinated visitors must show proof of vaccination. Unvaccinated visitors must submit a negative antigen or PCR test taken within five days of arrival.
