Royal Caribbean's Ricard Fain Suddenly Very Optimistic
Thirty countries have approved cruising. The United States could be next.
In a newly released video, Royal Caribbean Group CEO Richard Fain appears to be the most optimistic about a cruising restart since the pandemic began thirteen months ago. During this short video, Fain pointed out that thirty countries have already approved cruise line visits, and he feels the United States could be next. He advised the Royal Caribbean travel advisors that the industry is now having a very constructive dialogue with the CDC. His optimism comes from several levels, including the number of vaccinations, increased data about the virus, and the new technology now available. According to Fain, he now feels that cruising from the United States could start by mid-July.
