A signed agreement is in place with Port Canaveral to run simulated cruises.
According to the Royalcaribbeanblog.com, the cruise line is planning to go forward with simulated cruises that are required by the CDC for any cruise line who have less than 98% of the guest and 95% of the crew fascinated. The blog is reporting that Royal Caribbean has signed an agreement with Port Canaveral to launch the simulated cruises from there. Royal Caribbean Group Vice President of Worldwide Operations, Captain Hernan Zini, said yesterday that the agreement will now be sent to the Florida Department of Health for approval and then on to the CDC for their approval. Included in the agreement that is signed by executives of the cruise line are the steps that the cruise line and the port would take in the event a virus outbreak.
