Just In Case, Crystal Serenity Will Stay in Bimini

Guests sailing on the aborted World Cruise left the ship on Monday.

Unlike the Crystal Symphony, there are currently no warrants for the Crystal Serenity, but the ship will remain in Bimini and outside of U.S. waters.

The Serenity arrived in Bimini after being denied entry to Aruba. The ship had been on a world cruise, but the cruise was canceled after Crystal management shut down operations as the parent company Genting Hong Kong deals with a financial collapse.

A federal judge in Miami issued a seize order for the Symphony after the parent company failed to pay an unpaid fuel bill of over 2 million dollars.

So, for now, both ships will remain in Bimini and await decisions by the Court of Bermuda, which has assigned professional liquidators to oversee the parent company.
