Six ships visit the country on Thursday December 30th.

According to Belize Breaking News.com, it was busy Thursday this week in Belize. Norwegian Cruise Line had two ships visiting Harvest Caye, their private island in Belize and Belize City’s Fort Street Tourism Village welcomed three Carnival ships and the Celebrity Apex.
A press release from the Belize Tourism Board reported that Belize will have recovered close to 50 percent of cruise ship visitors compared to pre-COVID figures. And despite new worries over COVID variants, the Board says, “Promising projections from cruise lines indicate that cruise operations should return to full capacity by the winter season of 2022.”
The Belize Tourism Board continues to work with cruise industry partners to ensure that all requisite health protocols are met and are improved as needed, to address concerns caused by the pandemic as the sector continues on its recovery path.
