American Cruise Line sailing with guests.
The Independence is currently sailing to Charleston SC.
Sometimes small is good.
Because their ships carry less than 250 guests and therefore are not subject to waiting for the latest CDC restrictions to be lifted, both American Cruise Line and American Queen Steamboat have begun to sail. The Independence from American Cruise Line is currently sailing at 75% capacity from Jacksonville, Florida to Charleston, South Carolina. The line requires a negative COVID-19 PCR test for all passengers and crew on the ships, taken within four days of boarding.
The American Duchess from American Queen Steamboat will begin sailing with two private charters on Monday, March 15, 2021. The line is requiring all passengers and crew to take a COVID-19 test the night before they board, during their pre-cruise hotel stay. Capacity on the ships has been reduced, and social distancing will be maintained. Masking in public spaces will be required when social distancing is not possible.
