American Cruise Floats Out Riverboat Number Five

The American Symphony was floated out by Chesapeake Shipbuilding and will begin sailing in August.

Joining a more attractive market as the world deals with many issues, the 175 all- balcony passenger America Symphony was recently launched at Chesapeake Shipbuilding in Maryland.

The five-deck riverboat is the fifth to be built by American Cruise Lines. The ship features a four-story glass atrium, indoor and outdoor dining venues, a large fitness center, multiple lounges, and a top deck showcasing a Skywalk and an ellipse cutout cantilevered over the café on Deck 4 below.

Ranging from 250 to 650 square feet, all of the spacious staterooms offer full-size bathrooms, roomy closets, and private balconies where you can enjoy daily breakfast room service. The new ship also features an onboard fitness center and many spacious lounges where you can relax after the day’s adventures.

The overture to American Symphony’s cruise season will begin on the legendary Mississippi River in the summer of 2022.

American Cruise Lines offers more than 10 itineraries on the Mississippi that range from five days to 22 days. Its Mississippi fleet includes American Melody, American Jazz, American Heritage and American Splendor.
